On the peninsula of Istria you can still find peaceful bays and natural beaches,
for example like that one behind the Benedictine monastery of Dajla, called Punta. A tongue of
land with natural rocky and pebbly beaches surrounded by the deep blue sea and far from any
tourism.
Dajla - a small fishing village - is located on the west coast of Istria between the towns Umag
and Novigrad. Within the last few years Dajla became a very popular holiday resort, but still
remained peaceful and restful; not least because of the beautiful natural rocky and pebbly beaches
washed by the waves of crystal clear water where naturist are welcome, too.
o Apartments Palm Paradise
Due to the ideal geographical location of Dajla a variety of different excursions
is recommendable, for example to the artist village Groznjan, to the medieval village Motovun, to
the romantic limestone cave Baredine, to the fishing and mussels paradise Lim Channel, to the
venetian old towns of Rovinj and Vrsar as well as to "the smallest town of the world" - Hum. Also
recommendable are daily trips to Venice, to the biggest European limestone cave Postojna, to the
national parks Plitvice and Brijuni Islands. Further information available on request.
The towns Umag and Novigrad in the neighbourhood guarantee a lot of excitement.
After an eventful day the wonderful sunset invites you for a walk along the coast to the
neighbouring town Novigrad (approx. 4 km) to enjoy one of the delicious Croatian vines or the
Istrian smoked ham (pr‘ut). Dajla also offers four restaurants where you can enjoy the Istrian
delicacies as well as three small supermarkets for shopping.
Enjoy unforgettable days in Dajla at marvellous beaches with crystal clear water under the
mediterranean sun.
